We are proud to announce our Oakland Heights Teacher of the Year, Makayla Golden! Ms. Golden has been teaching first grade at OHE for three years. She is an amazing teacher and leader in our building. She is the team leader of our first grade teachers and serves on our Guiding Coalition leadership team. Congratulations, Ms. Golden!

Getting ready for our state test doesn’t have to be boring!! So much learning comes from “Making the Case” to justify if your team’s scenario is correct or incorrect. Teams in Mrs. Youngblood's class had to collaborate and communicate their ideas and reasonings because anyone could be chosen to record for the group or present their group’s argument to the class. OHE truly believes that those who are doing the talking are the ones doing the learning! #AchievingExcellenceTogether

May is a busy month! Please check the calendar for upcoming events.
