
LifeTouch picture retake day is Tuesday, November 14th. New students and students that were absent on picture day will have pictures taken. Retakes: Students may have their picture taken if the complete package of pictures ordered is returned.


Our students love music with Mrs. Bell! Kindergarten students are learning to play high and low notes on the interactive keyboard. 4th grade students are learning to play classroom percussion instruments.

Get ready! The O’Down is this Friday, November 3rd from 5:30-7:30. Join us for games and more! Admission is $1.00 per person. This includes a food ticket for a hot dog, drink, and a cookie or nachos, drink, and a cookie. We are looking forward to seeing our Oakland families!





Research is underway! Mrs. Tankersley's class wrote a paper on the similarities and differences of two animals that are of the same species. Then students created a habitat based on their main idea! #EducateEquipEmpower

Our 3rd grade classes competed in the OHE Annual Kickball Tournament. Mr. Leavell's class won the golden kickball trophy. Thank you to Coach Jenkins for organizing this event! Our students had a blast!





This is the last week to view Halloween art at the River Valley Arts Center. RVAC is located next to the Hughes Center. It is open M-F until 5:00. Most students chose to sell their art for $5 or $10. Bring your wallet if you want to make a student's day! Special thanks to Mrs. Arnold for preparing our students work for the show! Forty OHE students submitted artwork!
