It's National School Counseling Week! We are thankful for Mrs. James and all that she does for OHE!

Our kindergarten students are working hard on developing their writing. Mrs. Ellis's class used sentence starters to begin their writing about penguins!

This coming Tuesday, February 6, is Oakland Heights night at the Russellville High School basketball games. We will have a special section to sit in and we want everyone who comes to wear an Oakland Heights t-shirt if you have one. Kids get in free if they wear an OHE shirt and adult admission is 7.00. The basketball games are held at the new Cyclone Stadium. The girls’ game starts at 6:00 and the boys game will follow around 7-7:30. We are looking forward to all of our Oakland Allstars coming out to support our Cyclone basketball teams.

February 5-9 is Kindness Week. Join us for some dress up days! We'll be completing kindness challenges each day! “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But, people will never forget how you made them feel.” - Maya Angelou #BeKind

Check out our February calendar for important dates.

We celebrated our students at our January SHINE assembly! Students earned stars for showing respect, our Capturing Kids Hearts word of the month. Students also received awards for showing character traits from our profile of an OHE student. Former Oakland All Star, 2020 RHS graduate, and current ATU (1000 point club) basketball star, Taelon Peter delivered our awards! #OHEistheplacetobe #AchievingExcellenceTogether

Today, our kindergarten teachers treated our staff to a hot chocolate/coffee bar and goodies. We celebrated another great month at OHE! #OHEistheplacetobe
