Students learned that the cell membrane is a flexible organelle that allows substances in and out of the cell. Students interacted with specialized dish soap water (mixed with corn syrup) to model the flexibility of the cell membrane.

🎓 ❤ Karis Barron | RSD Profile of the Graduate Story
Being able to collaborate is one of the skills that can determine the true depth of leadership inside of someone. For 5th grader, Karis Barron at Russellville Intermediate School including everyone at the table is the key to bringing positivity in and outside of the classroom.
Russellville Intermediate School Principal, Laura Binz, says “If anyone is having a bad day and they talk to Karis, their mood is lifted. She is great at including all students and encouraging them to try their best. Karis’s presence is always noticed.”
❤ Great job, Karis! Thank you for being an Inclusive Collaborator!
