Congratulations to the RJHS 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year, Jenny Wallace!
Jenny Wallace is an 8th-grade Math teacher at Russellville Junior High School, currently in her 21st year of education. Of those, 11 years have been spent within the Russellville School District. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Henderson State University in 2002 and a Master of Science in Education from Arkansas State University in 2004.
Jenny began her teaching career at Clarksville Junior High, where she taught Title 1 Math and coached volleyball and basketball. After two years there, she transitioned to Russellville High School, where she taught Health and Physical Education while also serving as the Assistant Coach for both volleyball and basketball for three years. During her time at Russellville, she also spent two years teaching Elementary Physical Education at Crawford Elementary.
Jenny continued her career at Lakeside Middle School, where she taught 5th-grade Math and Social Studies for 5 years. During her tenure, she served as the 5th-grade Math Department Head for two of those years. She then moved on to Malvern Elementary School, where she taught 4th-grade Math and Science before returning to Russellville.
She is now in her third year of teaching 8th-grade Math at Russellville Junior High School, following a three-year stint teaching 7th-grade Math at Russellville Middle School. Throughout her career, Jenny has actively contributed to various school committees, including the Wellness Committee, New Teacher Committee, RTI Committee, and the Guiding Coalition at both RMS and RJHS.
Jenny is proud to be part of the Russellville School District and loves to contribute to the continued growth and success of her students!
