On Tuesday, October 4th, at 9:00 AM, Dwight Elementary will be hosting members of the Russellville Fire Department for the school-level Russellville Junior Firefighter Challenge. Third and Fourth grade Lil’ Cyclones will be competing in a Firefighter themed obstacle course. The three fastest boys and girls in third and fourth grade will get the opportunity to compete against other qualifying students from Russellville School District on Friday, October 28th, 2022, at Russellville High School. If your student wishes to participate, please fill out the release form and have students return it to their classroom teachers by Friday, September 30th, 2022.
\r\nOn race day, your students should dress in activewear for their safety and comfort. If your student is not in tennis shoes on race days, they will not be allowed to participate due to the increased risk of injury.
\r\nParents are encouraged to attend in support of your student; however, you must watch from the marked Parent Zone. In the event of poor weather, the obstacle course will be moved indoors and posted on Facebook Live.
