Russellville School District is excited to announce the selection of Mary Beth Cox as the Director of Human Resources. Ms. Cox will be transitioning from her current role in RSD as the Executive Director of Secondary Leading and Learning.
Ms. Cox has valuable experience to bring into this new position. In addition to 20+ years of classroom teaching and leadership experience, Ms. Cox has experience in High School Principal and Assistant Principal positions where she implemented Response to Intervention, Reading Initiatives, Intramurals, Student Advisory Boards, and coordinated the development and establishment of Professional Learning Communities. Ms. Cox is also a certified Science of Reading Assessor.
Accompanying many other honors and accomplishments, Ms. Cox received a Teacher Recognition Award from the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program in 2005, has been a Quest Lead Principal Facilitator, and a mentor for beginning administrators from 2016 to the present.
Ms. Cox says she is excited to serve RSD in this new role. “I enjoy working with people, developing their skills, and supporting them. RSD is a wonderful district that keeps students at the center of all decisions. I can’t wait to continue supporting the amazing staff that serve this District.”
In this new role, Ms. Cox will oversee, coordinate, train, and support District personnel in policies, licensures, hiring processes, and more.
